Can you imagine learning Spanish surrounded by Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks?
At AIL Barcelona, we have renovated our facilities so that studying Spanish is also a way to get closer to Barcelona’s culture from day one.
Over the last few weeks, we have decorated our classrooms and common areas with murals and decorative paintings showing some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Among the places you will find represented are:

Casa Batlló
Located in the heart of Paseo de Gracia, Casa Batlló is a modernist gem designed by Gaudí, famous for its colorful façade and unique shapes. You can visit the interior to discover incredible details of design and architecture. Casa Batlló is only 1.5 km from AIL Barcelona, about a 15-minute walk, ideal for a quick visit whenever you have free time.
Parc de la Ciutadella
This is one of the largest and most popular parks in Barcelona, a green space perfect for walking, playing sports, or simply relaxing. Inside the park, you will find the famous Cascada Monumental, a monumental fountain with sculptures, as well as the Parliament of Catalonia. Parc de la Ciutadella is only a 20-minute walk from our school, making it easy to visit quickly and enjoyably after your classes.

Camp Nou
FC Barcelona’s stadium is much more than just a place to watch soccer; it is a symbol of the city and its passion for the sport. You can take a guided tour to visit the museum and the changing rooms and feel the excitement of one of the largest stadiums in the world. Camp Nou is a little further away, about 4 km from the school, but you can easily get there by public transport in about 20 minutes.
Playa de la Barceloneta
One of the most beloved spots for locals and tourists alike, Barceloneta is an urban beach with a lively atmosphere, ideal for relaxing, sunbathing, or sampling the local cuisine at the beach bars along the promenade. It is about 3 km from the school, with good access by metro or bus.

Parc Güell
This park, designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, is an outdoor work of art. With its colorful mosaics, undulating shapes, and panoramic views of Barcelona, it is a must-see for anyone interested in Catalan modernism. Parc Güell is about 3.5 km from the school and can be reached by public transportation in approximately 20-25 minutes.
Casa Vicens Gaudí
Casa Vicens was one of Antoni Gaudí’s first major works and marks the beginning of his unique style within Catalan modernism. This private residence, now converted into a museum, stands out for its innovative use of colors, ceramics, and shapes that blend Eastern and neoclassical influences with the architect’s original character. Located in the Gràcia neighborhood, Casa Vicens is about 4 km from AIL Barcelona. You can easily reach it by public transportation in about 20-25 minutes. Visiting Casa Vicens will give you a fascinating insight into Gaudí’s artistic evolution and late 19th-century Barcelona.

Palau de la Música Catalana
The Palau de la Música Catalana is one of Barcelona’s most impressive music theaters and a jewel of Catalan modernism. Designed by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, this building stands out for its colorful façade and unique decorative details. Inside, the main hall is famous for its enormous glass skylight, which fills the space with natural light and creates a magical atmosphere for enjoying concerts of classical music, jazz, and many other artistic disciplines. The Palau is located in the center of Barcelona, near the Gothic Quarter, about 2.5 km from AIL Barcelona, and is easily accessible by public transportation or in about 25 minutes on foot.
