We all know weekends have sparks of and good vibes, and we see this throughout the school as well. Classes are conducted in good atmospheres with lots of dynamic lessons.

With our course of 3 classes on the weekend (total duration of 12 weeks) you will manage to succeed in everyday situations and become fluent in the language.

  • What is included in the enrollment fee?

  • The one-off enrollment fee includes:

    First textbook and all required learning materials
    Level assessment (outside of class time)
    Course attendance certificate

  • Can I join a course that’s already started?

  • Yes! If you want to join a group that has already started, we will not charge you for the classes you have missed. Please contact us for further information and available groups.

  • Will the course continue after the 12 week period?

  • Yes! You can sign up for another 12 weeks and continue on without missing a beat!

  • Can I make up for a class I missed?

  • This type of course is only offered once a week, either on Fridays or on Saturdays, so unfortunately your class cannot be made up at another time. If you have to miss a class, we suggest asking your teacher what material will be covered that week and so you can review it at home and stay up to date.

  • How is the class structured?

  • Our Weekend Course consists of 3 weekly Spanish classes either on Friday or on Saturday. We use an innovative communication-based approach, proven to be the most effective in learning foreign languages. You will learn the various linguistic skills you need to communicate in Spanish by really interacting in the language from day 1. Emphasis is placed on interactive activities such as role-play, discussions, interviews, current news stories, video and audio materials, games or pair-work, all backed up with a modern, colorful textbook. The groups are small (max. 10 and 6 students on average) which give you plenty of opportunities to step in and interact while having your teacher’s constant guidance and feedback. You will also learn how to fit in and feel comfortable in social situations in Spain. Oh, and of course, all teaching will take place exclusively in Spanish!

  • Course materials

  • AIL Español uses textbooks recommended by Instituto Cervantes that endeavor to provide the best methodology of Spanish teaching, complemented by a range of audio/visual materials, handouts, the school's own materials, and the internet.

  • Certificate

  • Each student receives an attendance certificate upon finishing the course and has the option to take an exam at the end of the course.

  • How do I enroll?

  • • Add the desired course and accommodation (if required) to the shopping cart.
    • Checkout and add personal details
    • Make a down payment by credit card, bank transfer, WeChat payment or Alipay. The down payment will be deducted from the total amount due on your first day at school.

    • Classes per Week: 3 group classes per week
    • Class Size: Average 6, max. 10
    • Course Duration: 12 weeks
    • Timetable: Friday: all levels 16h-18:50h and Saturday: all levels 10:30h-13:20h
    • Start Dates: 2023:

      Friday Course:
      April 14th – June 3rd (36 classes no public holidays)
      September 29th - December 15th (1 public holiday - 8 December. To meet the timetable, an extra class will be added on 24/11, 1/12 and 15/12.)

      Saturday Course:
      April 15th - July 1st (36 classes no public holidays)
      September 30th - December 16th (36 classes no public holidays)

    Spanish Weekend Classes are the perfect option for those of you who live in Madrid and really want to learn Spanish but are too busy during the week. We offer a 12-week Spanish course, starting at the beginning of January, April or October, which consists of three hours of class every Friday afternoon, or Saturday morning.

    The weekend is a great time to have fun learning Spanish! On Fridays the school radiates with that special end of the week atmosphere, while on Saturday our Spanish classes are bubbling with weekend energy!

    The weekend Spanish classes focus on communication, helping you to develop your speaking, listening and writing skills, as we guide you through the grammar which will help you to speak fluently and correctly! The classes are dynamic and we make sure everyone participates. We also emphasize cultural and social themes to help you understand the country better and to make your time in Madrid as rewarding as possible. It’s the perfect mix for students who want to improve their Spanish and have as much fun as possible while they do it!
