The summer in Andalucía is really hot with temperatures between 20 and 38 degrees. In this period, the coast will offer you the opportunity to relax on the beach and chill with a cool sea breeze. During this time of the year, you will find a lot of (beach)parties and (sport) activities in the south of Spain.
In case you’re fond of active and outdoorsy activities, Andalucía offers you amazing mountains just one hour and a half away from Malaga. Sounds hiking, horseback riding or biking cool to you? ¡Vamos!
Summer is the best time to go since the mountains reach 3000 meters above sea level. Up there you have the perfect temperature! You can even trek without thermal underwear.
In case you feel like sightseeing cities, verano is not your season. Temperatures can rise up to 45 degrees.
Autumn in Andalucía – Perfect for Sight seeing cities

Don’t worry. If you want to visit Andalucían cities, autumn is the season for you!
Generally, during autumn days, you will find temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees. This is perfect for walking through the streets of the historic centers. During this time of the year, the big cities are less crowded.
That’s the reason why you will be able to find lower prices for accommodation,
shorter queues at the museums and less traffic in the streets.
Autumn is way more barato, tranquilo and not too hot!

Winter in Andalucía – Yes Andalucía has snow too!
Winter is the season in which the differences between outback cities and the ones on the coast are the most obvious. In fact, while the seaside cities enjoy a mild climate, the hilly ones like Granada can reach temperatures close to zero degrees. Especially at night you experiance the cold!
But what many people don’t know, is that Andalucía can be the ideal winter destination for those who love skiing on snowy mountains. If you are one of them, the Sierra Nevada will be a revelation for you! You will find long and snowy winters over there and 106 kilometers of slopes! ¡Qué frío!
Remember that the winter in Andalucía is also the period in which you have the greatest chance of finding rain, so remember to bring a paraguas!
Also during this time of the year, you can take advantage of the cool weather and go shopping. Because that isn´t fun with 38 degrees! Check for example Plaza Mayor in case you’re in for that!
Spring in Andalucía – Let’s enjoy!
Spring, like autumn, is the best season to explore the cities in Andalucía. Think about Ronda, Sevilla, Granada and of course Malaga! The days are mostly sunny and temperatures are between 10 and 25 degrees.
However, compared to autumn, in these months you will find the cities more lively thanks to the numerous events and festivities. For example, in April you will be able to discover some of the more traditional festivities such as the “Feiria of Sevilla” and “Semana Santa“.
This is also the best time to go to one of the many Andalusian natural parks such as el Torcal or discover the “desert of Tabernas” before the high temperatures makes it difficult to bear.
